Unai Requejo (Santurtzi, 1982) is a doctor, with a thesis on playing and creative process, is an associate professor in UPV/EHU. Since 2003 he takes part in collective and solo exhibitions, showing his work in cities such as Bilbao, Madrid, Bristol, Breda, Palermo, Tetouan, Oporto, Beijing or San Diego. He was artist in residence in Beijing, in Let's go to China! Program.
He mainly works with video, photo and drawings, so does with sound and music too. His works have a variety of styles and ways of making, but they use to be funny or tend to a somehow humorous tone. He is interested in practices that are in the borders of the art system, makig T-shirts or music-videos for instance. He enjoys to invent too much complicated processes to build images.
